After close to 50 years of collecting recordings, I have finally "discovered" soprano Dusolina Giannini! Berkshire had a great price for her Preiser recital, so & "bit" & was most happily surprised with the quality of her voice & singing in general.

Only minor quibble is that in the "Casta Diva" cabaletta she does not appear to have a great adeptness at trilling, but that's unimportant, compared to the rest of her effectiveness. Overall, I would place her on a par with Muzio, but ahead of Ponselle in the total impression that she makes, having better high notes, but not the deepest of chest tones that Rosa commanded.

What is the scoop on her career - length, etc.? Had she ever appeared at the Met?
