We all know Shashikala as a evil schemer in movies, but she has acted as well in different roles in the early years of her career.
Among her different roles, one of the songs picturised on her as club dancer in !2 O' clock (1958) is really so nice.

The song sung by Geeta Dutt is so well enacted by Shashikala, her sweet expressions, movements perfectly synchronizing with Majrooh Sultanpuri's simple lyrics and O.P.Nayyar's great composition.
The way Geeta sung the lines " dil se mere kyu.n duur ho, kyu.n duur ho kuch to kaho . . ." really immortal, in my opinion.
While watching the song, anyone can recall V.K.Murty's photographic genius, in picturising B & W moviess.
Though I have watched the full movie video for the first time, few years ago, the song did not caught my attention.
When I watched the song video, by chance on youtube a month ago, I am really hooked.
