    Anybody home on this board?

I'm looking for an explanation of the differences between
boogie woogie, stride, and ragtime piano composition, or
    performance.

For instance, "You meet the nicest people", by Fat Waller: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ps7TxV-zIp0

I read a review of this song, which stated:
"the intro is boogie woogie, then robust stride"

    Can anyone elaborate on this?

    Thx,

Hello, and a few of us are still around. While I can say I recognize
those styles upon hearing I can't give you music theory definition(s).
For years I subscribed to "Sheet Music Magazine" and there were many
articles discussing these styles. That journal is no longer published.
Do some online searching. I'm sure there are pubs or perhaps u-toob
vids available that will answer what you seek. Sincerely,

Walking bass at the beginning- it seems some have called
it boogie woogie, esp. in the early days.
