Hi everyone,
I would like to purchase a piano as a graduation gift for my wife. She is an excellent player, but has only had an upright for last 4-5 years. She grew up on a Bosendorfer from late 19th century. There is a local musician selling his wife's Yamaha C3
conservatory from 1973 for 14,900. It looks like it is in excellent condition, tuned yearly. Here are my questions for the group:
1. Is this a good deal?
2. Is it too old and therefore will have wear?
3. What are your thoughts between this Yamaha C3 conservatory vs Steinway S (used)? I realize the used steinway will cost more and it is a baby grand.
