    Walter Kelly was my grandfather. He was one of the best trumpet players ever. He wasn't all about fame so that's why you rarely heard of him. During that time he was known. If social media existed back then he would've been all over it.

    John, I just downloaded this recording re-released 2010 by Freshsounds which lists all the players including solo orders. Searching for who was Walter Kelly, I found this discussion and this news story with video: http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2017/07/29/
