I had Jamie Kinscherff make me a guitar from some wood I had. He did a great job but the wood didn't cooperate. The back split so he got some more of the same wood and redid it for me. I pick it up on Saturday, then over to Austin to see whomever will
let me in the door.
The wood was ovangkol. Anyone know of problems with ovangkol? Some reports of it splitting along the fancy grain like Brazilian rosewood sometimes does. But any first hand reports?
