    Friends,

It's a very sad day today. Those of you who have frequented the
JANPress web site may have picked up on the fact that JANPress got
started really as a personal shrine to the talents and achievements of outstanding accordion teacher/arranger/composer, Mickey Bisilia. Mickey passed away in his sleep last night after years of horrible health and financial problems. Mickey's death marks yet another loss of an
accordion great from his generation, including Charles Magnante, Joe
Biviano, Frank Gaviani, Tito Guidotti, Rudy Molinari, Eugene Ettore, Joe Spano, and others who preceded him. He will be very sadly missed, as it would be difficult to find anyone who was more selflessly dedicated to
the cause of the accordion and his students as Mickey was.

    Regards,
    Joe Natoli, JANPress Publications
