Checking online auctions. For example someone on ebay selling a heritage accordion replies someone in a music store told him/her the reeds would
have to be replaced.
The old "a mano" reed makers are no longer alive.
Accordions are being listed without pictures of the reeds.
When someone selling from Europe was texted "curious what the reeds
look like" they replied the reed have to be replaced. Maybe the antique
reeds are good and maybe some self-styled eggspert said it needed new reeds.
