• Van Der Graaf Generator interview

From Jason Gross@21:1/5 to All on Thu Dec 1 16:47:12 2016
    Greetings,

In the latest issue of Perfect Sound Forever <http://www.perfectsoundforever.com>, you'll find (among other things):

    VAN DER GRAAF GENERATION
Their heavy, inelegant return- interview by Robin Cook
"Art-rock iconoclasts Van der Graaf Generator reformed in 2005, after a quarter century apart. Mind you, the band members never stopped collaborating even when VDGG itself was defunct. Hugh Banton and Guy Evans have performed on frontman Peter Hammill's
solo albums. Banton even put out two classical albums on Hammill's Fie! label. VDGG may have emerged during the 1970s prog era, but they always stood apart, even with the side-long album tracks and the occasional Robert Fripp guest appearance. Like
Crimson, VDGG was darker and knottier. Small wonder that Johnny "I Hate Pink Floyd" Rotten was a fan."

We're always looking for good writers and/or ideas so let us know if you have anything to share.

    See you online,
    Jason
