I have never believed it was Wilbur, because I couldn't find one hint in his early recordings that tells oh this guy played bass for Hair soundtrack. I was really paying attention on his recordings and I just couldn't figure it out. I have never find out
any solid info who was for sure. We have two names Wilbur and Jimmy..I honestly think Wilbur didn't do it. He was involved for sure, everyone knows that, but those bass lines on recordings? So that left Jimmy Lewis, is he the one? He could be.
