This Wednesday, October 21, 9--11:30 p.m., at Folk Night at
The Ship Pub in St. John's, Newfoundland, the headliners
will be folk trio Atlantic Union.
Cover is $5, there are door prizes, there is an open
mic set between the two headline sets, and open mic
performers get a free beer. Also the kitchen is open
until 8 p.m.

Atlantic Union is an innovative acoustic trio with two decades of
experience exploring traditional music and creating unique arrangements featuring richly woven vocals and a wide variety of instruments.
Currently, Atlantic Union consists of Sally Goddard (vocals, guitar,
bass, bodhran and concertina), Dan Rubin (vocals, guitar, bouzouki,
violin, viola, mandolin) and Jane Ogilvie (vocals, accordion, Celtic
harp and keyboards). The group has released two albums and is working
on their third, with support from the City of St. Johnıs.
Next week (October 28) there will be an unamplified traditional
jam session hosted this month by fiddler Maria Cherwick.
