I looked up Kanefsky's take on this (Xeno 100) and I'm glad to see I
went in a very different direction with it.
title: Code
ttto: Woad (Men of Harlech)
What's the use in puzzle solving,
Shooting craps with dice revolving,
Clever games with rules evolving,
Mines that you explode?
What's the use of sitting idle,
Shooting games so homicidal,
Reading an authentic idyll?
Better far to code
Code is something useful
It's not just abstruse bull
Write and run; you'll have your fun
With handy programs that you'll find induce cool
While debugging you keep plugging
Even though your S.O. stands there shrugging
Well, at least you are not drugging
So remain unbowed
What's the use of figure skating,
Swimming laps with joints all grating,
Exercises that you're hating,
Outside your abode
What's the use of television
Shows that only get derision,
That should not be your decision.
Better far to code
Though you think it funny,
Code can make you money
If you learn and do not spurn
The innovators and with them get chummy
They will pay you for app debut
If you all can get it done today, crew
Then you all can justly say "Woo!"
Stock price will explode

Guessing a lyricist's opinions from his songs is as futile as
guessing an author's opinions from his novels.
