    You should check out Frank Parker's interviews to make sure you aren't duplicating what he's doing.

    Other than that, my expertise in interviews is limited to running very

    Not counting the news segment, I've come to expect Filkcast to be
    mostly music, with your introductions to the songs. So questions
    whose answers would fit well into those introductions might be good,
    as might questions whose answers would suggest songs to you.

    All of these are bare suggestions which should obviously be phrased
    better if you decide they're useful.

    If someone hasn't heard you before, what song(s) would you like them
    to hear as an introduction to your oeuvre?

    Have you some interesting stories about how you came to write any of
    your songs? Any meanings in them that people tend to miss because
    they don't know you (or your interests)?

    Many filkers just listen or sing. Relatively few record. How did you
    get started recording?

    How did you and your partner(s)/bandmates/technician(s) get together?

    Who do you listen to that I should, and that I might not have heard?

    I write mostly songs to other people's tunes but a few songs to my own
    music.
    I publish some collections of my own song (FILKER UPs)
    but also a bimonthly filkzine of otherr people's songs (XENOFILKIA).
    I have also published convention songbooks.

    I haven't won any Pegasus prizes.
    I am in the Filk Hall of Fame.
    I have been a convention Guest.

    To answer some earlier questions in this thread. I'm not going to be doing anything close to what Frank is doing. These won't be full interviews/conversations. This will be a handful of short questions with short answers that will go on the show once a
    week. Think Bernard Pivot.

    Answers here won't help, since I want audio.

    I will open it up to folks who are not at the con. Give them the questions, they give their answers, they email them to me, I put it all together. And I don't necessarily want it to be the recording/performing filkers. Any Filk fans, especially those who
    are not generally recording/performing.

    And it might not work, it may cut into the music too much.
