INTRO
Colleges exhort kids to seek support,
Animals, in short, are their first resort.
So into 'most ev'ry college dorm they swarm, cavort.
Animals galore, spreading campus-wide,
What they're needed for mustn't be denied.
Now for all these critters pals must be supplied.
But are these animals really so gregarious?
Could it be this phenomenon's precarious?
VERSE
Now that I'm in college, life can be bleak,
Maybe I'm weak.
I had to seek,
Something to watch over me.
I would need to have a ferret or cat,
Guinea pig--fat,
Even a rat,
Could help to watch over me.
BRIDGE
Unless I cuddle with my ferret,
I simply can't bear it:
Campus insensitivity.
VERSE
Yet I know that I will still have to get,
Friends for my pet,
So it won't fret,
And then can watch over me.
