• Does anyone know any good Christian "funk bands???"

    Good bands...Jimmy Mamau, the Victory Travelers, Connie Pitts, the New Testament, Andrae Crouch and the Disciples (some), the Messiahs of Glory, the Southland Singers, the Brothers, the Swan Silvertones, Christian Voice, In Memory of Stella Burke and
    other bands and Hospel artists were definitely funk in the 70's, Sometimes it comes down to songs and mixed genres... Stryper covered "Shining Star" by Earth Wind and Fire, Out of Eden's original album was a funky R&B, then, of course, there's Freedom of
    Soul, the Gospel Gangsters (A saved Bootsie Collins appears on one of their newest albums) and a ton of Cristian rappers that blend and sample Funk with a hip hop sound....
