• Anyone remember the Pickwick, Q.M.O., or TEJ soundalike albums?

    I sure do!

    Before this HIT records, based in Nashville, Tennessee, yet, all-genre embracing, had a number of celebs-n-their-own right (Sandy Posey,Bobbu Russell, Sam of Sam and Dave, Ray Stevens,etc.,etc.) record these, and in the 50s there was Tops, with their all
    star Orchestra!

    Come the 1970s, we had all of those above..I wonder if ADAM VIII, Ronco, or KTel (a la Jimmy Durante) got in on the act.

    When these were out, QMO had "The Sound Effects" and "Dynamic Sound", with albums with such titles as "Golden hits of."(fill in 1970s year of choice),
    or "Autumn","Spring,"Summer", or "Winter",(again, 70s year).'
