It's official: Wilmer Flores is no longer a Met.
Flores signed a one-year deal with the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday
that includes a team option for 2020. He will earn $3.75 million in
2019, and the deal has a $6 million team option with a $500,000 buyout
for 2020, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan.
Flores took to Instagram to thank the Mets and their fans, as they
were the only franchise he had been with since turning pro as a
16-year-old in 2008.

"To the Amazin' Mets Fans," Flores wrote, "Thank you for your support
over the years. I am blessed to have shared so many great experiences
with all of you and I am grateful for the friendships I've made. I
will cherish them and all of you forever. I look forward to meeting my
@dbacks teammates and fans."
Flores, 27, recorded a .262/.303/.424 batting line with 68 home runs
and 253 RBIs in 581 games over his six-year MLB career. In 2018, he
slashed .267/.319/.417 with 11 home runs and 51 games.
The Mets non-tendered Flores in November, making him a free agent.
Of course, Flores' tenure with the Mets is more than the numbers. He
had 10 walk-off hits as a Met, including an emotional one July 31,
2015, in a crucial game over the Nationals, days after he cried on the
field upon learning he had almost been traded.
Flores hit a walk-off home run against the Phillies on July 9, 2018,
passing David Wright for the most walk-off RBIs in franchise history.
