    Hi,

I don't have a manual for this bike yet, so these questions may be
    easy.
I have a 1980 JR50 that I'm trying to get running for my kids.

First Problem: If kick starting hard, the clutch slips thus the crank
    does not turn.
I have adjusted the clutch by turning the adjustment under the small
    clutch cover
until it starts to resist, then backed off by 1/4 turn; read this
    procedure on the internet.

Second Problem: The cylinder fills up with oil from the oil pump
    PDQ. Is there
an adjustment for this, or are the parts that need to be replaced to
    fix this.
I can mix the gas, but would prefer not to. Also, there is a small
    screw on
top of the clutch side cover that has a rubber seal; is this an
    adjustment for
the oil pump flow rate? This screw is currently completely screwed in
    and tight.

A manual sure would help me; is there a PDF of one on line anywhere?

    Thanks for any help.

Does anyone know which way the oil pump check valve spring and plunger go in to the rotor valve on the Suzuki JR50? I have seen them installed both ways in different exploded veiws.
The only way I Can see it working is the plunger goes up toward the cam in the oil intake cap.
    Hope some one can help.

If this isn't clear enough, I don't know what to tell you. Looks
    pretty unambiguous to me.

Thats the way I figured it goes in. Check out the exploded view that Bike Bandt.com uses on their web site.It has them with the spring toward the cap, which almost impossible to install.
Anyway, having trouble with pre-mix oil filling crankcase. Engine dies and won't restart. Installed new spring and plunger same problem. Any ideas?

Can't see why I would bother looking at bike bandit's drawing rather than
tge official Suzuki drawing on partzilla's web site.

no idea what's causing your problem, sorry.
