I'll drink to the end of harleylessness.
Kaluha or Bourbon in my coffee? BOTH!

I hope it's dry enough to enjoy being King of the Road.
Did you get a new one, or a barn find, or someone else nightmare?

Nothing better than a new toy to pick up ones spirits, it's even better
when the toy is a Harley.

After spending a fortune on the Sportster I had before, then selling it
for the same price as if I'd left if stock, I'm glad that this time I'm
the one benefiting from someone else's spend.

It's just over a year old (2019 model so no RDRS to go wrong) with only
1,400 miles on it, but in that time the first owner managed to fit a
full Vance and Hines system, Heavy Breather, adaptive LED lighting,
rider and pillion seats and backrest from the 2017 CVO and virtually all
of the Kahuna Black accessory collection.

Scarily, this is the most I've ever spent on a motorcycle and because of
the COVID rules here in the UK, I've not actually seen the bike other
    than in pictures.

However a very close friend of mine passed away at the tender age of 56
about a month ago, a mere 2 weeks after buying the bike he'd wanted for
years. He rode it twice and did less than 100 miles on it. I've wanted a
big twin for as long as I can remember and realised that I shouldn't
    leave it too long.

Nothing better than a new toy to pick up ones spirits, it's even better
when the toy is a Harley.

    So true!

Well , most of the time . My newest toy is a 50 Amp plasma cutter ... I
do have a couple of Harley projects planned that will be much easier
with the new toy ... the biggest dislike I have for the trike is pegs ,
no foot boards . I plan to correct that this winter .
I do believe it's my turn to buy . Y'all try this homemade
"Snagalliano" . I'll be making a batch of Old Crowhlua this afternoon ...

When your card runs out I'll buy a round.

    Thank you.

Despite having put my money down for a beautiful 2019 Road King Special
last December, because of covid restrictions and furlough of dealership
staff, I was unable to collect until April.

And the 300 mile journey home was enough for me to discover that the
Road King Special wasn't the bike for me. I bought it to do longer
distances and discovered that it was less well suited to doing those
distances than the bikes I already own.

I went through in my mind all the things that I'd need to address to
make it work for me - suspension, seat, bars, screen etc - and realised
that I was going to spend an awful lot more money and might still end up
with a bike that didn't work for me.

Despite the great excitement and anticipation, having found what I
thought was the perfect bike, within a week it was gone.

Because of the joys of the Internet, I am aware of how the new owner is
getting on with it. And he is changing the suspension, seat, bars,
screen and more. So it's wasn't just me.

    Ah well

Thanks Becky, yes most of it.

It was such a shame that, because of the pandemic, I had to buy from a
distant dealer without a test ride. If I'd have managed a test ride I'd
have known pretty much straight away.

    Ah well, lesson learnt!

I have a fairly tattered V2.0 that's in the shop with a pile of

Heh heh, man it's been so long for me I barely remember any names from back in the late 90s early 2000s. I just stumbled onto this by accident.
I think Panhead lived in NJ then as well as Len.
We're in SC now just south of Myrtle Beach
