(I'm having trouble replying to a thread using Thunderbird. It only
let's me reply to the sender of the message, not to the group. <shrug>
    I'll be working on that.)

Awful news about RE. Age is taking it's toll on all of us. I think it
was Dave S. who once said, "We are at the age where we are losing
friends faster than we are making them." Unfortunate, but true. I turned
70 years old yesterday. I hope I have another 10-20 left in me.

To RE! The man with a contagious laugh that could be heard above the
    noise at any IRL. <clink>

That's a real sad realisation, specially when you figure I'm the
"baby" of the group. Means that if the chronological order is
followed (and that's not a certainty, given my genes), I'll have to
say goodbye to way more people than I'd like.

Heck, it's *already* been way more than I'd like.

Live every day as if it were the last , 'cause it very well may be .
A fortune teller once told me that I would die in a motorcycle wreck .
Said I'd be shot in the back while fleeing a jealous husband on my
Harley . At the tender age of 106 .
But until then , I'm going to enjoy life . Just cracked a fresh
bottle of Ezra , lets tilt a few .

I was told once that I should live like every day is my last. I tried
it, but I cried and pouted too much. <ba dump bump!>

In all seriousness, though...unlike when I was young...dying wasn't even
a thought in my head. Nowadays I'm fully aware of my mortality. I've had
to say goodbye to a lot of friends and family in the last 10-20 years. I realize that my clock is ticking. But...I'm comfortable with it. It
might actually be a hoot! Ya hear all sorts of stories about people who
have had near death experiences that makes me fairly certain it ain't
just "poof!" and lights out. I don't want to go any sooner than I must,
but it might end up being quite a trip.

    We'll see.

Like Snag said, enjoy life while we have it. <insert sound of Evan
