well i was at the local gocart track, and saw a couple guys working on
the roof. they were into dirtbikes, and despite rinding cr they knew
what a trials bike was and were interested in Tight single track rides
as well as the mx style riding. they looked about 12 years old but were
i'm sure in their 20's. well there's some hope that some kids in ohio
may maintain the trails and keep the sport alive.

daughter folowing on the tr125... might just get him infected with the

Did you ever watch Ewan McGregor's 'Long Way Round' and other similar
movies? You should. I was at a Harbor Freight a few months ago and
asked a kid how far he'd ridden on his street bike (can't remember what
kind). He said from his house to HF to buy some tools and stuff. He'd
watched LWR and wanted to do that. Just bought the (used) bike.

Damn, kids are still worth something after all!

Correction -- not movies, TV series. Much longer and better than a movie.

P'ville kids made a bunch of semi-legal TST. We (son and I)
have been riding it most Sunday mornings, occasional Saturdays
too. Good hour loop. You and your gas-gas would have fun.

    Go fast. Take chances.

    Bev:
thanks for the suggestion. i'll get around to looking up the other dvd's.

spent today with Narc buddy, who has a little 4 day old rock rash from
a get off on his bike. seems he lost a bit of rotator cuff motion but is mending okay for an "older" guy.. he met up with two gents (70's yr
olds) with a pair of Chinese knock offs... a husky frame and a honda
type 250 motor. they were plonking about the trails doing well. should
have asked if they wore a white helmet...

i think i would enjoy a bike ride across the aussie"out-back" only if i
could take a few locals with me to help me get food and supplies. my
friend Katherine lives in New Z and could hook me up for 2020 when she
plans to visit her family. (that's just crazy talk, do you think i could
sucker Mike W into tagging along, or maybe Bob Mallard (aka Brian). i'm
sure we'd die from heat exhaustion after 2 hours in the sun...

i finally got my fields plowed for winter wheat and plan on taking sweet
babe for a few laps on the nature trail just to stir up the dirt.

sweet baby ec250 GasGas: seems to like the https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/trufuel-50:1-pre-mixed-fuel-32-oz
runs clean and doesn't bog. i've been running it in the lawn boy and
the chain saws. the jet ski is still running aviation gas and Castro
oil, i think next spring i'll try the trasctor supply stuff.
seems all my toys like the non ethanol fuels, sigh. my poor Piper cub
hasn't been up sense April. guess i'll take dad up next weekend to get
the stale gas out and buzz the islands looking for end of year sun bathers. john
