I know that I will get some sarcastic reply's with this one. Anyhow, I have always wanted one of these tiny (I mean tiny) engines and I finally got one.
Now that I have it Im trying to figure out what to do with it. Does anyone have
any creative uses for such a small engine?
Thanks,
Hey Charles,
I have three of these little guys, and one seems to be TD. Version. I
think it is a very fascinating little engine. The machining tolerances
must be phenominal! I used mine in kind of a dumb way and had a blast
with it.
I bought one of those five-dollar foam gliders with the 3-foot (just guessing) wing span and made a free flight out of it. I made a little
mount that resembled a power pod and used a small half A line control
fuel tank. Trimmed it out by throwing it with the engine off. Fired it
up and gave it a toss. It climbed slowly up in a large circle and got
into some thermals and just kept going up and up. The engine finally ran
out of fuel and slowed and caught a light breeze and e jumped into the
car and chased it for miles. I live in the desert so it was a lot of
open country and sagebrush so I got it back. That was the last time I actually used it, but it has ran a lot because when I get a victim into
my model room and show off some of my engines that one always gets
attention. I thought of making a multi engine Gentle Lady at one time
but never got to it.
