Seattle Police officers arrested a 39-year-old male for a stabbing that
left a victim seriously injured in Downtown Thursday morning.
Around 1:30 a.m., officers responded to reports of a male stabbed in the
300 block of Alaskan Way South. When officers arrived they found a 33-
year-old male victim with a severe laceration. Police provided first aid
until Seattle Fire Department personnel arrived. The victim was
transported to the hospital in stable condition.
Officers located the suspect nearby and took him into custody. A machete
and a small amount of narcotics were recovered the the scene.
Initial reports suggest the stabbing began as an argument between the
victim and the suspect regarding personal property.
The suspect was booked into King County Jail for Investigation of assault.
