The victim was found by cops with a blade lodged in the back of
her head after responding to a call at a house in West Virginia

The woman told cops she was attacked while trying to stop the
suspect, Zachary Nipper, from choking her daughter, Kizzie Hardy

Hardy said she and Nipper smoked meth and he stayed at the house
    regularly

She later denied this, changing her story to suggest Nipper had
thrown a rack of drying dishes and the knife had accidentally
got stuck in her mom's skull

A West Virginia woman had a knife sticking out the back of her
head when she complained to police on Tuesday that she had been
    attacked by her daughter's boyfriend.

Westover Police Chief Rick Panico said on Wednesday that Zachary
Nipper, 26, had been charged with malicious wounding. The
suspect was already wanted in Maryland for felonious assault.

Panico said Nipper's girlfriend, Kizzie Hardy, the daughter of
the victim, told police she and Nipper smoked meth and were
using her mother's property as a 'flop house' when the attack
    happened.

However, Hardy later denied this and and told the The Dominion
Post that her mother wasn't stabbed, but that Nipper had thrown
a rack of drying dishes and the knife had become lodged in her
    mother's head.

But the victim, who has not been named, told police she was
attacked while trying to stop Nipper from choking Hardy.

Westover Police Chief Rick Panico said officers responded to 426
Dunkard Avenue just before 9pm on Tuesday and found the victim
with the knife in her head.

Officers wrapped the wound and called EMS, who transported the
woman to J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. Panico said the woman was
    back home by Wednesday morning.

The investigation revealed Nipper lives in Marjorie Gardens and
stayed at the victim’s apartment several times a week.

Hardy also denied that she did meth with Nipper and claimed no
    one saw them doing it.

'Nobody said me and Zack were doing meth together; I don’t even
do drugs,' Hardy told the Dominion Post.

She claimed that her cousin lived at the apartment and does
meth, but she told him to leave when she found out.

Nipper was found near the house a short time later. Local
residents reported that he was acting strange so they called the
    police, Panico explained.

Nipper resisted arrest and refused to identify himself to police.

Police did not find out his actual identity until Wednesday,
    Panico said.

After they did identified him, officials were able to determine
he was wanted for felonious assault in Maryland and was on
    probation.

Panico said there had been several problems previously at 426
Dunkard Avenue, which were often ignored by the landlord.

However, Hardy told the Dominion Post that her landlord called
Wednesday and told her she was being evicted. She said she’s
only being evicted because the Westover Police Department gave
false information and she plans to sue the department.

    Good riddance.
