Surah Al Mulk Rumi: A Surah of Protection and Guidance
Surah Al Mulk Rumi is the 67th surah of the Quran, which is written in the rumi script, a transliteration of the Arabic text into Latin letters. The surah has 30 verses and is classified as a Makki surah, meaning it was revealed in Mecca. The name Al
Mulk means "the kingdom" or "the sovereignty", which refers to the first verse of the surah that praises Allah as the owner of everything in the universe. The surah is also known by other names, such as Tabarak (the blessed), Al Mani'ah (the protector),
and Al Waqiyah (the preventer).
The surah is known for its many benefits and virtues for those who recite it regularly. According to a hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "There is a surah in the Quran which contains thirty verses that will
intercede for a man until his sins are forgiven. This surah is 'Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the kingdom' (Surah Al Mulk)" [^1^]. Another hadith narrated by Abdullah ibn Mas'ud states that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "It is my desire
that Surah Al Mulk should be in the heart of every believer" [^2^]. The surah is also a protection from the punishment of the grave, as reported by Anas ibn Malik, who said that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Surah Tabarak is the
protector from the torment of the grave" [^3^].
