    connects the bottom of the tongue to the top of the jaw,
    presumably to hold it in place.

    always letting the phone ring at least twice before you pick

    Geiselfloo (unsure of spelling): any item attached to a gas station rest room key to make sure you return the key and it doesn't get lost. I remember the exmaple was a wheel rim without the tire attached to the key
