lost her sheep and doesn't know where to find them", and then has
the audacity to say, "leave them alone". Now think for a moment,
think. If the sheep were lost and you couldn't find them, you
would have to leave them alone wouldn't you? "They'll come home
wagging their tails behind them". "Behind them"! "Behind them"!
Did we think they would they would wag them in front? Of course
they might have come home in reverse.
That was actually a part of a comedy record from Waaaay back (I was a
wee kid and it was on a 78RPM recording) It was called something like
"It's In The Book" which was repeated every time he made a statement
and folks laughed like a preacher might
eg: "It says here, Little Bo Peep, who was a little girl, has lost her >>sheep and doesn't know whereto find them .... It's In The Book!"
well, it was funny when he did it..
I no longer have the recording as someone put the record on a lamp
shade and it warped with the heat..
Hi Gralber,
You are correct.
I created a MP3 file of that record (both sides) and I would be glad to
send it to you (email attachment) if you want it. However, I need your
email address. I assume you did NOT post your actual email address.
Note: I did NOT post my actual email address so you would have to
indicate your email address in a reply in this NG, but use a method that can >not be "harvested".
