Hubert Chesshyre, former Clarenceux King of Arms, has been back in the news, this time in connection with his ongoing fellowship of the Society of Antiquaries of London. See this article in Sunday's Observer:

In short, the Council of the Society of Antiquaries have belatedly decided that they'd like to expel him from the society, but statutes mean that it has to be put to a vote of the fellows, who apparently voted approx. 2-to-1 to keep him on. Fellows had
to vote in person on a weekday afternoon during half term, meaning that those who were able to vote were apparently mostly retired or self-employed Londoners and not representative of the society as a whole. Council and many fellows are said to be
    dismayed.

Interestingly, there is quite a close relationship between the Antiquaries and the world of heraldry.
