    I have never seen a garden hose of over 3/4". What would a 1.5" hose
    timer be? What would the adapters be?

    Clearly, if you are dealing with a 1.5" hose then some sort of _serious_ down-adapter would be needed. Unless maybe you are connecting to a fire
    hydrant and even then...
