Have come up so far , most are big enough to start hilling . I have
red beets getting big enough to start thinning , but the spinach ,
lettuce , and bok choi aren't doing so well . I think probably because I
used old seed that I had instead of poppin' for fresh . Live and learn ,
I'll be getting some fresh seed for a fall crop of salad fixins' .

Tomato and bell pepper seedlings are coming along nicely , they're
going outside as temperatures permit . So far the yellow and acorn
squashes are the only vine crops to come up . Melons , cukes , and
pumpkins are still not showing any signs of germination . Not a big deal
, I still have time to get fresh seed and plant outdoors instead of
starting seedlings indoors . Strawberries are loaded , as are the berry
bushes . Blueberries have set some fruit , blackberries are just
starting to blossom . And there are lots of blossoms . It's still early
, and Mother Nature will need to help , but I think I'm looking at a
bumper crop year . I hope so , grocery prices are going out of sight !

Update - just a little while ago I noticed that the cantaloupe has
produced (at least) one seedling . Mother Nature knows best ...

That's what I'm hoping. This afternoon, will start in-ground bedding of
seeds doing well. Just waiting for Don to finish his noon-siesta.
Seedlings doing well this year. Time to start the lettuce seeds and
plant potatoes, just a few for a trial run.
