• 1968 World Cup Soccer Arcade power cycling on and off

My 1968 World Cup Soccer Arcade has started giving me problems. When I turn it on, it stays on for a few seconds, powers down, then powers back up, then powers down, over and over every few seconds. I think it has something to do with the ball return.
Because before it started doing this, the game would almost power down and go dim, whenever a ball was kicked on to the field. Any help appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Steve

Check the Bounce Switch contacts most likely on the bottom of the
cabinet, perhaps near the transformer or power cord tie point. The
switch is a double blade switch that should be closed - one blade has a
small lead cylinder attached to act as the bounce weight. The second
bounce switch is mounted on the coin door, but this only interrupts
credits if someone hits the coin door trying to get a "free" game.

Caution! These switches are directly connected to 50VAC so there is a
potential shock risk - please adjust with the game unplugged.

Next, check the fuse holders - if the fuse is not firmly gripped then
you can get these symptoms. Look at the fuse metal caps, if they look at
all corroded or pitted then chances are the fuse holder is no good any
    more and needs replacement.

I have good quality copies of the original factory schematic and
operators manual which shows the parts and switch operations. A big
    help! $25USD plus postage.
