For those unfamiliar with the GCE / MB Vectrex Carry Bag here are some of the features:
The Vectrex Carry Bag is constructed of a lightweight Cordura on the outside. Carry handles are made of the same material with double thickness via multiple layers of material.
The entire Vectrex carry bag is machined stitched together.
Carry handles have extra stitching plus two metal rivets per end to attach them to the body of the carry case.
On the inside is nylon fabric used for the liner, material for the pockets, and bottom insert cover material.
The bag is meant to carry a complete Vectrex game system including:
    • Pockets present are for holding nine (9) game cartridges,
    • Pocket for for Screen Overlays. Room to accommodate at least nine (9) Overlays.
    • Pocket for Manuals. Room to accommodate at least nine (9) game manuals plus system manual.
    • Pocket for one (1) extra Vectrex Controller.
The top flap is coated on the inside with a type of plastic or rubber. The flap is held closed by a strip of Velcro.
The bottom insert is used both help the unfolded bag keep its shape, as well as some light cushioning for the Vectrex.
Inside side walls of the bag, as well as the bottom insert, are cardboard planks. Some of the planks are creased during production to enable the bag to be folder flat for easy shipping and storage.
All of the logo graphics are silk-screen printed onto the bag.
All bags are originally shipped folded flat. To accomplish this all bags the following step are used
    • Remove the bottom insert from the bag.
    • The sides of the bags where the handles are attached are creased vertically. The crease is directly in the middle centered between the handle attachment points.
    • Starting with the creased side of the bag, push the creases inward a few inches.
    • The bottom material of the bag is pushed up and tucked into the folded area before collapsing the bag and allowed to rest inside the folds.
    • Finish collapsing the bag placing the handles into the side folds. But ensuring the top flap is still loose.
    • Place the bottom insert under of the back of the bag near to the top edge and fold the top flap back over the insert and the back of the of the bag. Alternatively, place the bottom insert over the front logo area of the bag near to the top edge and
fold the top flap over the front of the bag.
    • When finished folding and collapsing the Vectrex Carry bag volume will occupy area about 13 inches wide x 14 inches tall x 4 inches deep loosely folded. Or if store inside another protective bag about 2 inches deep tightly folded.
Interesting to note. I have two sealed Vectrex carry bags. Most of the carry bags were folded using the steps above. However, one sealed bag was folded in a manner where the creases in the bag are on the front and back instead of the sides. I consider
this to be a production mistake since the presentation of the logo graphics on the front of the bag is creased not as nice for views. Also the creased printing area will have paint that eventually starts to flake off due to the extra stress wear on the
    paint in the creased area.
