• New Vectrex Cartridge Programming Service - OmberROM

From Computer Nerd Kev@21:1/5 to All on Fri Jul 7 06:48:38 2017
    Hello,

I've just released a new online store for video game cartridges
which are programmed with the game ROM files you submit during
    checkout:

    http://www.ombertech.com/romprodindex.htm

Currently I'm just doing Vectrex cartridges as a trial and will
expand to other colsoles (and greater quantities in stock) if
there's demand. For the moment, there are single game cartridges
as well as quad game cartridges (with game selection made using
a slide switch). Note that economy international postage prices
can be _very_ good on the single game cartridges :) .
Cases are not available at the moment.

Feel free to enquire about bulk pricing, although I have no more
boards to sell at the moment besides those listed in stock so
there will be a wait involved for large quantities. One option
in the future might be "on demand" programming of homebrew games
with authors automatically paid a set commission on each purchase.

I've also been working on a multi-system SD card multicart that
will support the Vectrex among many other consoles. That's still
a little way off at the moment.

My VecAdapt controller adapters for using Mega Drive / Genesis
controllers with the Vectrex will also soon be available in the
main section of the online store, at:
    http://www.ombertech.com/
This uses the same shopping cart system as OmberROM, so orders
can be combined to save on postage costs.

Note that the whole website and shopping cart system has been
written from scratch, and there are still a few enhancements to
be made (and possibly still some bugs to fix). If it does
over-charge you for something, let me know and I'll refund the
difference. The hosting server has also been under some Denial
of Service attacks lately, so there's a chance the site may go
offline for a few hours. Please be patient.
