I've designed a new controller adapter for using USB controllers with
the Vectrex, which I call USBify Vectrex:
http://www.ombertech.com/cnk/usbify/vectrex.htm
It works with (official) PlayStation 3/4/5 controllers and should
work with most PC-compatible controllers, joysticks, and mice. You
can fully configure the button assignments, joystick inputs, and
auto-fire. Bluetooth is also supported for PlayStation controllers
using a USB Bluetooth dongle, but only some (older) dongles are
supported and Bluetooth works best with just the PS3 controllers at
the moment so I'm calling that experimental.
These are the USB controllers/devices tested with it so far:
http://www.ombertech.com/cnk/usbify/tested.htm
As with the VecAdapt controller adapters for Mega Drive / Genesis
controllers that I've been making for years, these are available from
my online store:
https://www.ombertech.com/usbify_vectrex.php
and on Tindie:

The Tindie link should start working once the product listing is
approved.
