I see a few are still here. So, what are you doing in the way of gaming these days? I have long since stopped playing 40K back when 5th edition came out(and really need to Ebay a lot of my old crap). These days I'm running a campaign of the Mutant:Year Zero RPG, and playing a ton of board games, as well as a few PC games.

Can't decide AoS or Kill Team. Kinda leaning towards kill team. D&D would be cool if I could find a good group.

Run your own group. Host it at my store.
Just to necro an old thread, I've started playing "Tanks!" The gale force 9 introduction to flames of war. It's ludicrously simple but I can actually get a game in at work during my lunch break meaning it is actually getting played :-) The fact I canuse my old 15mms WW2 as well makes it quite cheap.

Summon the dead!
I've picked up TANKS! too a while ago just to paint the panther pink. To annoy someone with it XD Details seen here:

And I caved in and bought the new'ish Battletech Beginners Box. Is fun
too but takes "a bit longer" to play. Not as long as an 800 points Star
Wars: Legion game mind you.

It's ok. Not bad. Not great. But decent. The (very) expensive box game doesn't come with the full rules and you can only get them by downloading a pdf right now.

Not sure if counts as non-GW or not but I've just picked up a copy of "Talisman Revised 4th Edition" from a shop clearance for the princely sum of £26GBP which is about $33 USD.
Very happy.... and trying to avoid getting sucked into the expansions !
Cheers

They also want to try Oathmark as a stand-in for WFB 3rd.

I suspect Oathmark will be a very disappointing WFB 3e stand in, but Rick Priestly's Warlords of Erewhon is fun, and has a constantly updated selection of army lists https://thisgaminglife.uk/ .
The system is so flexible I've converted my Saga armies over in both historical and fantasy variants.
