• [POWDER] YAAP: First clear, Pure Melee, No spells

    Failed about a dozen other runs today all before Floor 10, and basically developed the theory that to clear the early game, i'd need the fighter set and a decent amount of armor proficiencies. Didn't get the Iron Armor skill learned until Quizar's
    Library but that jumped my AC from low 30s to 47. garbage luck on enchant scrolls, wound up with my Flame Sword that peaked at +4 nerfed all the way to -1 by unhappy gods. AVALANCHE TIME carried hard vs Assassins and a certain Amulet of Lifesaving-
    wearing Large Unique Turtloid at the end of Floor 23. basically contributed heavily to extra action economy from constantly applying slow and self buffing with speed wands and boots. Nearly got done in from a nasty Track-spell-casting Assassin at 21 and
    to a lesser extent when big B himself tried it, and a couple more close shaves of self inflicted stupidity on the trip returning to the surface.

    Well done. I think POWDER is quite unashamed about Klaskov / H'ruth heavy-armour monster-whacking being the easier way to win. :-)
