Data East, Damn the Torpedo's, Ball shooter length/source?

Hi Folks,
I have a Data East, Dman the torpedo's machine that need a new ball
plunger - the thing you pull back to lauch the bar. The red plastic
thing on the head is cracked.
Anyway... can you recommend which length and a recommended source?
I seem to find two lengths.... 7 3/4 , 7 5/8 available from "Marco", but
I don't know which to order?
