    Greetings!

    Just a test message from a new install, and a general hello to any
    Dragons still kicking around this group.

    For the first time in my life, I've installed a halfways-proper
    newsgroup client so I can participate in Usenet the way it was intended.
    I feel like I just joined a dying breed, and am inordinately proud of that.

    Welcome back! I still check back here when I remember to, but most of the UDIC action tends to be on facebook these days. It's great that there are so many people there, but imho our ultimate destiny may lie elsewhere... I think that anywhere there is a
    large gathering of people in one place (especially gamers) that Dragons will find each other. It's still important to keep the old venues alive, of course.

    I only found my way to this newsgroup last year, believe it or not. The last time before that I'd been to a Dragon newsgroup it was alt.games.ultima.dragons. But really I've been a Dragon over 20 years and never plan to stop Dragoning. It's why I'm
    throwing us the biggest party ever in just over a year. :) There will be other gatherings in the meantime, like the ones we just had in Seattle and California. Next one will probably be in Tucson in a few weeks. If you'd like to meet other Dragons in
    person, stay tuned!
