Doom gets all the fame for being the game that 'runs everywhere', but
I think Ultima IV may be in the running for second place. ;-)
ABSOLUTELY DO NOT REDISTRIBUTE OR UPLOAD THIS ANYWHERE YET!! It is for
personal testing ONLY!
That's a VERY optimistic view of the Internet you have there. It's
better to just accept that if you put it on the Internet, it's going
to be distributed wildly out of your control. ;-)
Merry Christmas and Fröhliche Weihnachten fellow Dragons,
if you'd like to try out a very preliminary version of my German
translation of Ultima IV: Quest of the Avatar for Raspberry Pi 1-3, grab
a copy from my NAS at:
https://mbdnyedxj0vv158i.myfritz.net:44036/nas/filelink.lua?Fid=ac7e46ea9abe2e68
ABSOLUTELY DO NOT REDISTRIBUTE OR UPLOAD THIS ANYWHERE YET!! It is for personal testing ONLY!
Note that it will NOT yet work with any post-2020 Pi, such as Pi 4, Pi
5, Pi 400, Pi Zero 2, or Pi Pico.
Only Pi's of the first through third generation (A, A+, B, B+, 2B, 3A,
3B, 3B+, Zero, Zero W, Zero WH) are currently supported!!
You will need to be able to read at least some German to enjoy this.
And please, to save bandwidth, absolutely do download and read the
README before you download one of the big image files!!
I'd love a message if you did try it, whether it worked or not.
Best wishes,
Sorry the Link was copied incorrectly. Here is one that hopefully works:

I‘ve added an even more preliminary Windows compile of the same code to the same download location. It looks worse but should work just the same,
however it is largely untested and might have additional bugs. Just
download, unpack anywhere you like on a Windows PC, and start the link
called „!Ultima IV“ in the top directory. There is no installer yet.

You're just trying to convince us all to buy a Pi, aren't you? You're secretly in cahoots with Raspberry Pi Ltd, admit it! Probably making
bank off the kickbacks. Well, we all see through your clever scheme,
and let me tell you...
... it's working.
