My [Slashem-] Barbarian decided to enter the mines first, found a
coaligned temple in minetown, and sacrifices a lot to get Cleaver.
Meanwhile back in the main dungeon, found a weapon shop at dlvl:5
that had the Deathsword, the Barbarian's second guaranteed artifact
weapon. But the Deathsword is basically a chaotic atifact and my
Barbarian is neutral; so I guess that while it would be safe to
touch it when granted from a sacrifice it will in this case blast
me. Is that correct?

Otherwise, it might be that spoiler (The Spoiler? is there any other
then of 0.0.6E4F5?) and/or The Wiki is incomplete, sparse, or incorrect.
It might be that Deathsword isn't chaotic (as of slashem) or neutral
barbarians won't get it. (Side note, I have vague memory of *not* being blasted by cross-aligned artifact (on multiple occasions, I know about
dicing); I haven't been blasted by co-alighned artifact *yet*.) Also,
The Wiki describes blasting business rather faint -- I still have
questions.

As far as memory serves, it used to be that granted artifacts get their alignment adjusted, so you will not get blasted in that case.

Yes, you may or may not get blasted. (There might be a separate case for "intelligent" artifacts; I *think* they'll always blast a non-coaligned character.)

At least that's what The Wiki says. (And yes, intelligents always
blast, will have to be extra attentive.) In a sense, to check if this
is a quest artifact or not. Unfortunately, arti-006e4.txt isn't
