Another way is reading a blessed scroll of remove curse while
confused. That way items in inventory change the BUC-state
randomly (blessed, uncursed, cursed). Drop everything that
you don't want to be affected by that process before you read
the scroll.

No. There's a high chance that the cursed wand will explode.
BTW; in Slashem there's in addition a wand of create horde.
