    My Knight had a stingy game w.r.t. some [until late game] common items; specifically no genocide scrolls (not even in Sam's Black Market). That
    was the reason that the Chaotic quest had non-ending summoning storms,
    and in the end all the wraith corpses advanced me to XL:30. (Playing a
    Lawful I didn't consider that high level to be an issue; angelic beings
    in the end-game should mostly be peaceful.) The consequence of my high
    level when sacrificing was that I also got high level minions; probably
    a mis-design. Anyway, I got a horde of tame Solar minions that quickly
    reached level 49 (with HP:392 and AC:-12). I managed to keep seven of
    them with me until the Astral Plane, and these fine creatures not only
    quickly killed all the angels, priests, and whatnot, but also Famine - something, to be honest, I didn't expect. I am tempted to also try out
    the other riders now...

    Famine's and Pestilence's special attacks are harmless to other
    monsters, except for the case where their doubled attack hits
    twice so the second one gets turned into stun damage.

    That's something which was fixed in nethack to-be-3.7 fairly
    recently. I don't think their attacks are very dangerous to other
    monsters now but at least those won't be harmless anymore
    (in nethack).

    I don't remember how Death interacts with other monsters,
    before or after the fix for this.
