    I'm having a blast reading conversations that started back in 1994 between the Nintendo and Sega feud. I was born in 1989 and didn't have access to the internet until atleast the late 90's. Glad to see this place is still up.

    No, some of the oldest USEnet posts are from the early 80s.

    I think the one I frequented the most was alt.games.mk which
    earliest posts were late 1992 or 1991 I believe

    Sadly like a lot of usenet, it's become a bit of a novelty, with folks
    mostly just reading (and sometimes replying to) content from a long time
    ago. It's a shame that, with Nintendo at a high point right now with the Switch, everyone is talking about events from 1994.

    Where's all the Animal Crossing chat (my nieces love it)? Or the debate as
    to whether the OLED Switch actually worth it (maybe not)?
