According to Next Generation online and a few other online videogame
news web pages, the shortage of N64 this coming September 30 has been
denied by the major videogame store owners. Nintendo has promised them
that there'll be more than enough N64s out there to fill out pre-orders
and buyers who hasn't put down their names on the list yet. What does
mean, well, anyone who wants a N64 and has the money to buy it can get
it, without any problems at all. Good news for us soon-to-be Nintendo 64 owners and fans, and bad news for Sega and Sony, who had hoped to
capitalise on the N64 shortage this Fall. This might mean a pre-launch
price drop for the N64, because Nintendo has more than enough N64s to
fill out orders, thus they want to maximise their $54 million that's
going to be used in their marketing scheme. N64 adds on TV and magazines
will be out full force begining of September, so if there's a price drop, then it'll be out in the adds. Look out Nintendo adds in soon-to-come USA Today's advertisement section.
