After a long period of time during which I did other things instead of devising variant forms of Chess, I have once again come up with an idea for
a Chess variant, which is here:

This variant adds two pieces, the Attacker and the Defender, which both get to move twice in a turn. The Attacker can more easily threaten the King, but the Defender can counter those threats.
