• No Double Jeopardy for Trump

Something has been pointed out that I had never thought of. Schneiderman, the Attorney General of New York State has just joined Mueller's team to investigate possible crimes committed by the Trump Group. Trump may feel safe and happy that he can pardon
himself, but he may not have realized that while he has the full power to pardon any federal crimes, he had no jurisdiction over state crimes. Almost every federal crime also is a crime under the laws of New York State. For example federal securities
laws also has an equivalent in New York state laws. The tax laws and rules and forms of New York State are virtually identical to the federal tax forms. Thus, if Trump who is known not to have paid any federal taxes in years is found to have committed a
federal income tax violation, he will almost certainly have also committed a state tax violation as well. The question remains, when the New York State Police come knocking on the White House doors to arrest Trump, will the secret service protect and
    shied him from arrest.
