Just won an 11 point match against XG by 15

Do you also look at your checker and cube PR's
separately? While mine are both almost always
super high, in general my cube PR's are higher
    than my checker PR's.

So Tim can be impressed by my PR and Murat
can be impressed by the fact that I won.

I'm proud of you. ;) And yes, for me, the only
thing that matters is winning. PR is cow pie!

Oh.. i just noticed the Google Groups announcement that no new Usenet posts will be supported effective Feb 22-2024. Does this mean we have to use something other than Google to access rgb? Is there any other platform that you guys use for bg
    discussions?

    I use www.eternal-september.org to access rec.games.backgammon.
It took me a while to figure out how to set up Thunderbird on my
machine to interact properly with Eternal September, but now it
works pretty well (although it's not perfect).

For backgammon discussions, you can try Stick's forum at
bgonline.org/forums. You need an account to post there, but Stick
will be happy to give you an account for free.

I also started using Eternal September last week.
Setting up Thunderbird was a breeze and I have no
issues. I'm worried that we may have problems in
the future as all those people using Google will
    switch to using open servers.

Stick's forum existed for a long time but is not
nor will ever be a replacement for Usenet RGB. It
attracts a different breed of people discussing
different subjects, mainly positions. I wish Tim
and his ilk would take their compulsive obsessive
    several-per-day position discussions there, instead
of trying to herd others from RGB to Stick's Forum.

    rescue.
