I had first noticed this with one bot a couple of years ago and
a few dozen times since. I wanted to make some sort of show
about it on a special occasion but I kept forgetting.
Many times I thought it was my eyesight or my byfocals but it
wasn't just with similar dot patterns like seeing a 4 as 5 or 2 as
3 but became convincing to me when a 6 turned to 5, for example
which is not easy to mistake a 6.
I should note, though, that it's not always for the worse. Rarely
the changed number works better for me. So, it may just be a bug
with the bot displaying the wrong dice icons at first.
Nevertheless, it should not happen in a bot claimed to be world
class. Thus, the contest is still on. Let me hear from you folks... ;)
