Well, 13/7(2) is a candidate, but I don't like it. As I mentioned
before, the player who rolls an awkward early 55 is usually looking
to attack or race, rather than to prime. I think we have to
strengthen our board with 8/5(2). Then I don't see anything better
than 13/10(2) for the remaining two 3s.

While it may not seem like a lot of outfield control maintaining our midpoint makes it so the opponent can't go buck wild in the outfield with his midpoint.

I just have to say that I got this wrong and desperately hope
that you won't be assigning a dunce's cap to me.

Here, I would never dream of retaining the midpoint.
    Why not?
Well, like most people, my dreams tend to consist of vague images
rather than such precise plays. I might dream of playing backgammon
but I'd be unlikely to dream of a precise position or checker play.

Besides not dreaming about it, I wouldn't play it.
So since Stick "Mr. Accurate" Rice has said that we do retain the midpoint,
I haven't got this right. Sue me.

Can't recall what I played here, but I probably bunged it up with 13/7(2), accomplishing none of the good things suggested such as improving the inner board or retaining the midpoint. But one can dream. <(:-|
