Example: You install and try Extreme Gammon for 14 days.
Then sell your computer to a buyer. If that buyer wants
to install and try Extreme Gammon also, he won't be able
to because Extreme Gammon implants spying entries in the
registry to prevent trying it more than once on the same
    computer.

If this happens to you and your buyer wants his money
back, here is what you can do (at your own risk!):

    - Go to http://www.trashreg.com and download the latest
version. It's portable. No installation needed. Run the
32 and 64 bits versions as needed.

    - It will list a bunch of "trash keys" in your registry.
Just look for the relevant ones to Extreme Gammon which
    uses Asprotect copy protection software.

    - First delete the main key: [HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-....\SOFTWARE\ASProtect\SpecData]

    - Next look for a "fake typelib" key that will look this: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\TypeLib\{1DF....}]
Copy the value between the squiggly brackets and delete it.

    - It will refuse to show the random CLSID key saying this: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\CLSID\ {FREEWARE-VERSION-CAN'T-SHOW-THIS-KEY}]

    - But that's okay because CLSID key will have the value of
the above TYPELIB key in it. Thus we can find the CLSID
key by searching the registry for the above copied value.
Its TYPELIB subkey will look like this: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\...\CLSID\{8B9....} \TypeLib]@="{1DF...}"

    - When you find it, just delete that entire CLSID key.

That's it. Now your buyer can also try Extreme Gammon.

If you had uninstalled it before you sold him your
computer, he will have to reinstall it but if you had
forgotten to uninstall it, then he won't even have to
reinstall it... ;) He can just start it with your old
    preference settings, profiles, etc.

If time is money, you may be able to sue the producers
of Extreme Gammon for causing you to waste more time
than their product is worth, just in order to make good
    on a sale you made.

But the good thing is that if your buyer has to go through
the same hassle himself with his future buyer, then his
buyer doesn't even have to worry about deleteing the fake
TYPELIB and CLSID keys; just deleting the Asprotect key
will suffice for him to try Extreme Gammon for 14 days. :)

Boycott vendors bug your house/car/computer and spy on
    you illegally...!

Nowadays it is close to an impossible chance to reset trial period on Extremegammon.Xg creates 14 registry keys in the Clsid and typelib folder that you mentioned. After each format , the folder that contains these keys in the clsid and typelib change.
Best to buy it rather than go through the torture of handpicking 14 different keys inside 100 's of folders.Only $60 which is a reasonable price for such a program.

That being said if you succeed to somehow handpick the keys and delete them , then you can reset trial period by just deleting specdata each time.Beware that when you install or uninstall any program on your pc while Xg is present on your computer , then
another set of spying keys reappear.
